EXHIBITION

Das Gesicht des Auges

“Das Gesicht des Auges” curated by Vlada Ralko, explores the concepts of “vision” and human responsibility in the face of socio-cultural catastrophes.

“Selected statements by artists, made not only during periods of both near and distant, cold and hot wars but also from where ethics, politics, and culture form the only possible ground for human vision to emerge. In essence, human existence is held by the retina, a fragile coordinate grid that requires renewal time and again,” writes Vlada in the exhibition concept.

The exhibition will feature works by Volodymyr Budnikov, Yurij Leiderman, Vlada Ralko, Dieter Rukhaberle, Bernhard Vogt.

Free admission.

CONCERT

Bird Dreams & Beachtown Exile

Dnipro & Kruchi and Hotel Continental - Art Space in Exile are proud to present the feel-good and elaborated indie-pop played by Bird Dreams supported by the heartwarming soul of Beachtown Exile!

Bird Dreams is a Berlin-based indie-pop band characterised by imaginative stylistic choices and adventurous songwriting led by singer-songwriter Laura Bondí and guitarist/producer Dani Valentino. The project was born back in 2017 as a duo playing jazz standards but quickly developed into a nucleus for the group writing original material inspired along the way by the sounds of Little Dragon, Grizzly Bear, Blur and Arctic Monkeys.

Beachtown Exile, the soul/indie project led by Berlin-based Canadian singer- songwriter Liam McArdle, blends warm nostalgia with a modern edge. Known for his genre-blurring sound inspired by the likes of the Beach Boys, Jim Croce and Velvet Underground, Beachtown Exile debuted with the introspective Feeling Again in 2020.
